Overview

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is growing and we have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager/Engineer/Scientist to continue to grow an established Environmental Practice in our Greenville, SC office. As a Senior Project Manager with CEC, you will lead efforts in identifying opportunities for growing the practice, lead business development and marketing efforts, and implement marketing and sales strategies to provide sustainable growth of the practice focusing on environmental compliance, remediation and due diligence service areas. You will work with other practices within CEC to provide an integrated service approach to addressing client needs. Your efforts will include technical execution, oversight, safety, quality assurance and quality control of project services, work product, project budgets, monitor field and office activities to assure a high level of consistent work product and client service. You will also assist with the identification and recruitment of key personnel and will mentor and train the Environmental staff to assure professional growth and development.

Qualifications

  • BS in Chemical/Civil/Environmental Engineering or Geology/Environmental Science (MS a plus);
  • Professional license; P.E. or P.G. in South Carolina or North Carolina;
  • 12+ years applicable experience managing environmental projects under state and/or federal regulations and requirements;
  • Demonstrated business development and client management experience required;
  • Strong leadership, team building, and interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects, budgeting and cost control;
  • Experience and knowledge of federal and state regulations for manufacturing / private industry day-to-day permitting / compliance responsibilities and activities (including air, storm water, wastewater, hazardous waste, and solid waste);
  • Proficient in scoping and developing compliance, engineering, investigation, corrective action, and remediation work plans, and final reports;
  • Regulatory reporting program experience; and
  • Experience with characterization of soils and groundwater at RCRA, CERCLA, and Brownfield sites, as well as developing remediation strategies is a plus.
