DEA is currently seeking a Bridge Engineering Intern for our Salt Lake City, UT office to provide engineering support on transportation projects. This role will consist of assisting professional engineers and project managers in the Transportation Business Unit with a wide range of tasks pertaining to planning, design, construction, operations, and maintenance activities both in the office and in the field.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Supporting the Bridges and Structures and Roads and Highways markets
  • Assisting engineers, project managers and designers with all aspects of projects; project set-up, drafting, design, project coordination/organization, etc.
  • Internal coordination between groups and design teams
  • Assisting with project and team meetings

Basic Qualifications:
  • Applicants must be in the pursuit of a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, with 3 or more years of completed course work and scheduled to graduate on or before Spring 2022
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a heavy emphasis on Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of drafting software application Microstation
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and licensed Engineer-in-Training is favored but not required
