Overview

As a Civil Engineer / Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll design and manage projects to create land development plans for our commercial, institutional, and residential clients. From an urban redevelopment site, industrial sites, to a new school facility, you'll take part in designing and managing projects, quality control, client interfacing, budgeting, and mentoring and supervising junior engineers. In managing junior team members, you will direct and review the design aspects which will include site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management facilities, water quality best management practices, and utilities. Interacting with clients, contractors, and local government officials, you'll impact the whole project - from conceptual and design phases, through the regulatory review process, bidding, and construction, all the way to the grand opening.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering;
  • 7+ years engineering experience in site layout, grading and drainage, utility, and erosion control design;
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) in Tennessee or ability to obtain;

Preferred Skills
  • CAD/C3D design experience;
  • Proficient with drainage software, such as Hydraflow;
  • Experience assembling and reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and reports;
  • Project management experience or a desire to take on project management duties;
  • Ability to interface with clients, network, and develop business.
