Job Description
Our Ontario, CA office is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Civil Engineering Intern position. This position will support our Land Development Civil Engineering Practice Group with engineering and office related tasks. Successful candidates will work on multidiscipline projects performing independent engineering calculations and design using specialized technical skills, experience and engineering judgment to transform concept designs into construction drawings and technical specifications. Our group works in the areas of commercial, industrial and residential land development, multi-use and infill development, parks, trails, open space development, and public works and private development clients.

Other duties include:
  • Coordinate projects with supervisor, project managers, project engineers, staff engineers and firm staff.
  • Provide sketches and/or detailed layout information to design staff for incorporation into the construction drawings.
  • Designs, prepares and analyzes preliminary and final plans in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Analyzes maps, reports, drawings, as-builts and test results for design projects.
  • Preparation and modification of reports, specifications and designs for project.
  • Provide project specific technical information to the Project Manager for incorporation into the project specifications.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Applicants must be in the pursuit of an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, with at least 2+ years of completed course work and scheduled to graduate on or before Spring 2023.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Microsoft Office (Excel and word), Microstation, AutoCAD, and InRoads skills are recommended
  • Ability to communicate and work in a team-oriented environment
  • Recommended but not required; Engineering-in-Training (EIT) Exam
