Overview

As an Ecologist for Civil & Environmental Consultants, you'll work with project teams to navigate today's complex environmental regulatory landscape, helping our commercial, institutional, and energy clients to achieve and maintain compliance with regulatory criteria. You'll assist in wetland and stream delineation projects, prepare delineation reports, and assist with preparing permit applications. You will perform wetland and stream delineation and ecological monitoring field activities; compile, analyze, and review data; prepare reports; assist with preparing permit applications; and interact with clients and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in a natural sciences field (e.g., Biology, Environmental Sciences, Ecology);
  • 0-4 years' experience in performing and leading wetland and stream delineations and evaluations;
  • Ability to work outdoors year-round
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Here's What We'd Like to See:
    • Leadership aptitude and experience;
    • Completion of 40-Hour wetland delineation training;
    • Understanding of federal CWA Sections 404 and 401 regulations and Pennsylvania Chapter 105 Water Obstruction and Encroachment regulations;
    • Experience writing ecological reports.
