As an Entry level Water Resources staff professional for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll be presented with a diverse workload. Opportunities will include field work related to erosion and sediment control inspections, construction inspections, visual stream assessments, stormwater sampling, stormwater input and outfall mapping. There will also be an office component focused on preparing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), water quality permit applications, and documents pertaining to stormwater management and municipal stormwater compliance.
Interested candidates should have a strong interest in working outside (including regularly walking on uneven, slick terrain and working in inclement weather conditions), strong communication skills, a willingness to learn new skills, and an ability to thrive in a team environment with a diverse workload.
Qualifications
B.S. Degree in Environmental Science, Civil/Environmental Engineering or a Related Discipline;
0 to 4 years of experience in a water resources related field;
Experience and/or interest in water resources projects in one or more of the following areas: stormwater inspections, construction inspections, hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater management and permit compliance;
TDEC Level 1 Certification preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months;
Experience with ArcGIS a plus;
10 Hour OSHA training a plus.
