Overview

As an Environmental Scientist/Engineer for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll conduct office and field activities related to environmental remediation projects and help develop plans, permit applications, and reports. Duties may include:
  • Preparing and reviewing environmental data tables, maps, figures, and reports to help interprets results and make recommendations for further action.
  • Oversight of environmental remediation projects both in an emergency and non-emergency setting.
  • Contributing to the preparation and review of environmental regulatory reports and plans, specifically under the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP) and other state remedial programs in New England.
  • Conducting underground storage tank (UST) closure assessments.
  • Conducting field investigations, data collection, and site reconnaissance tasks, including sampling of a variety of environmental media.

Applicants will have an option to sit in either our Raynham, MA or Peabody, MA office locations.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Environmental Science or related field;
  • 6+ years professional experience;
  • Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP) experience a plus;
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals;
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence;
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word Processing and MS Excel spreadsheet software.
