Overview

As an Environmental/Air Quality Engineer with Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll be involved with a variety of environmental and air quality projects and provide client-focused customer service in the manufacturing, energy, mining, and real-estate markets. This position could include field work consisting of environmental monitoring/sampling of soil, ground/storm water, emissions, surface and subsurface investigations in combination of office work consisting of compliance, reporting, and permitting. This position could also include evaluating and presenting information regarding atmospheric emissions from proposed processes and equipment in support of state and federal permit applications. You'll interact with clients, contractors, and local government officials to impact the entire project from conceptual and design phases through the regulatory review process, bidding, and construction. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • 0-4 years' consulting, compliance, industry or related experience;
  • B.S. or M.S. in Civil/Chemical/Environmental Engineering or a related field;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Environmental experience with due diligence, compliance and permitting, air emissions estimating, site assessments (Phase I and II), and subsurface investigations;
  • Knowledge of USEPA air quality regulations;
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project);
  • Dispersion modeling experience using AERMOD is a plus;
  • Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and/or HEC-RAS or other computer modeling software is a plus;
  • HAZWOPER training is a plus;
