Overview

Come join Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in Bridgeport on an as needed basis LiDAR Technician in the Civil/Site Group. We have a great, high energy, multidisciplined office that is conveniently located just off of interstate 79 and within walking distance of multiple restaurants.

As a LiDAR Technician for Civil & Environmental Consultants Inc. (CEC), you will serve as a primary resource for LiDAR collection and data processing on terrestrial scanning and 3D modeling projects. You'll collect static LiDAR scans on various sites throughout the CEC footprint and create 3D models in various softwares, including Revit and Plant 3D, to meet customer requirements and issue all project deliverables in a timely manner to support administrative, procurement, and construction activities. You'll communicate and coordinate with internal departments to achieve resolution of project-related activities, provide internal daily status reports of activities, and execute special duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with emphasis on LiDAR extraction of 3D objects;
  • Skilled use of AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, ESRI ArcGIS, Google Earth, and other mapping software;
  • Ability to work in a safe manner and always obey safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors' degree in Geography, GIS, Geomatics or other related discipline, or equivalent work experience;
  • Knowledge of surveying and mapping practices;
  • Experienced in LiDAR registration software, primarily Leica Cyclone and Register 360;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in BIM software, including Revit and Plant 3D.
