Your Impact at SAM

As a Project Support Specialist, you will support the project team in facilitating, reporting and analyzing gas utility projects under the direct supervision of the Project Manager. You are the internal liaison between the Project Managers and Gas Utility Field Specialists (GUFS) who is responsible for placing phone calls to contractors and documenting the appropriate information on a daily basis. To be successful in this role, you must have strong administrative, communication and reporting skills.

  • Place 20-30 phone calls per day to deliver messaging to contractors (this is 90% of the job!)
  • Assist the GUFS in the coordination and implementation of their daily activities
  • Coordinate with the GUFS for updates regarding work in progress
  • Organize and route client tickets to appropriate staff
  • Monitor the production and schedule of each project phase to ensure guidelines are being met
  • Track and report the overall progress of the project to the Project Manager in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to SAM

  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a high volume environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Accurate data entry skills, attention to detail and follow-up abilities required
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information
  • Knowledge/experience in the gas utilities industry a plus
