Job Description
DEA's Corporate Finance team is hiring a Senior GL Accountant to be part of ourteam in Portland, OR. This role will be a key player in the proper processing and reporting on the activities relating to DEA's general ledger as well as performing reviews and analyses of various general ledger activities.

Responsibilities includes but are not limited to the following:
  • Performs professional level accounting support, related to the most complex accounting tasks
  • Able to perform accounting tasks within multiple ERP modules and collaborate closely with departments such as AP, AR, Payroll, Tax Compliance, GL and Project Accounting
  • Responsible for journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting and able to present those reports to leadership with accuracy
  • Close and record all bank accounts for monthly activity and perform bank reconciliations, including investigating and posting correcting entries as needed
  • Review and accrue period costs in accordance with GAAP
  • Assist with year-end audit, prepare supporting documentation, and address auditors' questions.
  • Assist with process documentation
  • Identify and implement process improvements


Basic Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years accounting experience including public accounting experience preferred; BA in Accounting
  • Working knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Understanding of accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work on a team and independently
  • Computer knowledge: Microsoft Office Suite including strong Excel skills and 10-key skills
  • Able to work effectively under pressures of management deadlines


Desired Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics SL Accounting System
  • Experience working in the A/E/C industry
  • CPA or CPA candidate
