Purpose

Collaborate internally with business leaders and externally as appropriate with third parties to support the execution of the company's sales and marketing initiatives for mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Direction
  • Receive broad guidance relating to overall key objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters and general parameters for execution. Receive direction as needed, and especially on highly complex assignments. Independently apply extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Review work produced by staff for quality assurance.

At the Operational and Company Level
  • Work collaboratively with cross functional groups to assist in implementing marketing strategies and core positioning.
  • Develop associated marketing collateral.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of key organizational project initiatives and industry competitors.

Do the Work
  • Manage and prepare proposals, qualifications, and teaming opportunity documents for both public works and private development projects from content generation through debriefing.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing department management and operations teams to develop and implement targeted lead generation and sales strategies.
  • Produce marketing and communications collateral including brochures, project profiles, team resumes, presentations, miscellaneous graphics, etc.
  • Collaborate and advise operations teams on presentation development and preparation.
  • Coach internal teams on best practices and interview techniques.
  • Assist in management and integrity of company project and resume database.
  • Coordinate team member and project photography.
  • Assist in coordination of local and national industry award submissions.

Education, Work Experience, Licensure/Certifications, and Technical Requirements
  • MEP engineering marketing experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field required. Commensurate, relevant amount of work experience in marketing or communications may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Five or more (5+) years of professional services marketing experience in Architecture / Engineering / Construction (AEC) industry.
  • Experience in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proven ability to synthesize information into professional marketing communications.

Physical Demands and Working Environment
  • Primarily indoor professional office environment which may include bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic.
  • Mobility around an office environment.
  • Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional pushing or pulling up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional reaching outward or above shoulder.
