Overview

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. is seeking a leader to expand our Ecosystem Restoration Practice Group. The leader for this existing, well-trained group will be an established professional, with strong technical, project management, and client-facing leadership skills.

The group leader will develop strategies and action plans that will provide revenue and professional growth opportunities for existing and expanded staff at multiple office locations. Strategic thinking and an action focused management style that will expand the current regional services and project activities are key requirements for this role.

Additionally, you will promote innovative design solutions using natural stream design software tools and techniques, provide technical review and oversight for stream restoration projects, manage projects and project teams to deliver quality project services to existing and new clients. We anticipate that the leader will have demonstrated experience assisting clients with achieving business and project objectives along with maintaining compliance with regulatory standards

We anticipate that the project and client service offerings will include identification of project sites, due diligence and surveying, design engineering, and construction management. This position requires periodic travel and field work as well as proficiency with managing projects and project budgets. The candidate we are seeking will havea minimum of 10years of experience in fluvial geomorphology, sediment transport, stream and wetland ecology, and natural channel design.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or Hydrology;
  • Minimum 10 years of experience designing streams in multiple geographic regions ;
  • Stream design, construction, and monitoring experience;
  • Rosgen or similar stream restoration training;
  • Strong working knowledge of mitigation requirements;
  • Ability to work as part of a team to achieve shared objectives;
  • Ability to speak and write professionally;
  • AutoCAD® Civil 3D®;
  • RIVERMorph® Stream Restoration Software ;
  • HEC-RAS;
  • HydroCAD ;
  • Survey Grade GPS and Total Station.
