Job Description
DEA's is looking to hire a CADD Drafter to be based in Spokane/Coeur d'Alene offices . The CADD Drafter will perform drafting in support of various maps and Right-of-Way Plans under supervision of a Survey Project Manager or Survey Task Lead. The projects needing CADD support will be centered around surveying for design engineering in the transportation and land development markets. The selected individual will be a good communicator, be able to complete work on schedule and within budget. Due to COVID 19, telecommuting and the ability to self-motivate and be disciplined to work at home with little supervisor is required at this time and may be an option in the future.

Position Duties:
  • Provide drafting support to the Project Manager and Project Surveyor.
  • Responsible for record mapping, ALTA maps, subdivision maps, and topographic surveys.
  • Prepare Plats, Right-of-Way Plans and exhibits
  • Perform CAD drafting for survey and mapping projects using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
  • Prepare exhibits and assist with descriptions and lot line adjustments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications :
  • College classes in Land Surveying/Civil Engineering or CADD Technical College or high school diploma and equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation/In-Roads, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
